I thought I would start off this series of blog posts with an image that could be a bit of a challenge that includes highlight reflections and deep shadow. You can also use a pre-made set of grain styles that are available in the Capture One Styles extended set. Capture One 8 has a realistic film grain tool to add grain to your images. They are an excellent starting point if you need a film look without grain. Capture One Styles is a film emulation set that includes 100 color and B&W film styles. Since the spring of 2014 I have used a set of film styles created by Russian photographer Alexander Svet for Capture One users.
